Game Review: This game gets 4 stars only because my kids played it so much. I personally didn’t care for it as a family board game; it seems to work better for children to play with each other. In addition, an interest in Neopets is probably a requirement. My problem with playing the game myself is that it’s kind of convoluted, time-consuming, and not very interesting for an adult. My children seem to enjoy the variety of activities offered by the game – as you travel the board, you are given opportunities to participate in a variety of activities, all of which seem to relate to activities found online at the Neopets.com website. Maybe the problem is my lack of interest and knowledge of Neopets, but I found it monotonous and slow-moving. In conclusion, I would not recommend this game for anyone not interested or involved in Neopets.com. For fans of Neopets, however, this may be a must-purchase. Note: this game may be no longer available at retail locations. Search eBay for a copy.
