Game Review: Hopefully I'm not the only one who remembers playing this game with siblings and friends back in the 1970s! Yep, it's the classic Original Battling Tops game. Wind up your plastic top and let 'er rip. Hopefully your top will be the last one spinning. You know, this game is just as cheap and frustrating as I remember it. I must have had a very boring childhood to have played this one at all! The tops are difficult to wind, and even more difficult to get to spin. At least the "arena" itself is of heavy-duty plastic and not the cheap pliable plastic we see so often in games of this type nowadays. But I really can't recommend this game, because I believe it would be ultimately frustrating for children trying to play it, especially since the game manufacturer recommends ages 6 and up. I am a lot older than 6, and I was having trouble winding and spinning the tops! I give the game one star, but added another star for sheer nostalgia.

i remember this game well. but i used to have a game called Battling Gladiators. the arena was the same but the difference was that you had to move around a board with the arena in the middle. the object being to fight other gladiators in the arena along the way to winnig your freedom.no one i know remembers this game. please say someone here does and lets me know...

I remember this game, and it was recently my mum chucked it out! My partner didn't believe me when I called it Battling Gladiators, he said I was lying. Were can I buy another? Does anyone know?
