Game Review: Another simple yet engaging game which may appeal especially to those fascinated by King Tut, Ancient Egypt, and other archaeological pursuits. In Tutankhamen, players act as archaeologists and compete for valuable artifacts. You pay tribute to King Tut by depositing "Tribute Coins" into the Pyramid when artifact sets are completed. First player to deposit all of his or her Tribute Coins wins the game. The setup of this game was easy, although it did require a decent amount of space on the table. You have to arrange the trail of artifact cards randomly, which is great because it means the game will be different every time. We actually had less trouble with the cards moving around than I suspected, which was also a big positive. There was also some strategy involved, which kept the adults engaged; which sets will you pick to collect? Some sets include more items than others, which can score more points....but will you get the complete set, or will someone else snatch it from under your nose? This game was a good one, and something we will play again, but it's not incredibly exciting in my opinion. For my children however it was another story, since they really seemed to enjoy the theme of the game more than anything.
